You can change an unassigned phone number's type, should you need to.
NOTE: You cannot change the phone number type for a number that is in an active contract.
To change a phone number type
Select Properties in the top menu.
Locate your property in the grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.
Select Setup in the side menu and select the Voice tab. The Settings screen appears.
Select the Telephone Number tab.
Locate the number in the grid and click the Additional Options button.
Select Change Number Type from the drop-down menu. The Change Number Type window appears.
Select the new number type from the drop-down menu and click Save.
