Using menus

Updated over 3 months ago

You can use different types of menus to navigate Kube. The following menu types provide different kinds of information:

  • Top menu: The top menu is anchored at the top of the screen and does not change or move as you navigate to different screens. Selecting an item in the top menu shows the screen associated with that topic.

  • Side menu: A side menu appears on the left side of the screen when you click records on a data grid. Side menus list additional selection options related to the data grid record you clicked.

  • Tab: Tabs can appear horizontally beneath the top menu filter or horizontally on the main screen when you click side menu items. Tabs divide information about the top menu or side menu item into different sections based on topic.

  • Sections: Sections can appear underneath side menu tabs to divide information about the tab into sections based on topic.

NOTE: Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

TIP: You can use the Breadcrumbs list underneath the top menu to see the navigation path you clicked to reach the screen you are viewing. You can click any breadcrumb to return to that screen.

The following graphic shows an example of the different Kube menus:
