Mapping a door to a space

Updated over 3 months ago

After you add a door, you need to map it to the space it belongs to. Mapping doors to spaces lets Kube allow members to unlock doors using their physical credentials or the Member Portal app when they have a booking in the space the door is mapped to. This article explains the door mapping process. For more information about adding a door, see Adding a door.

This article is part of the Kube access control setup flow. For more information, see Kube setup checklist.

CAUTION: Unmapping a space prevents Kube from allowing members to unlock doors for bookings. Use caution when unmapping spaces.

To map a door to a space

  1. Select Properties in the top menu.

  2. Locate your property in the data grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.

  3. Select Setup in the side menu and select the Access Control tab. The Settings screen appears.

  4. Select the Doors Mapping tab.

  5. Locate the space in the grid and select the doors that belong to the space or are needed for access to different areas associated with that space.

EXAMPLE: A member might need to access the main door and a suite door to access a conference room. In this case, you should map the main, suite, and conference room doors to the conference room space so the member can reach the space their booking is in. One space might also have multiple doors. Map each door to the space.

  6. Click the Map button.

TIP: The next step in the Kube access control setup process is to create access groups. For more information, see Adding an access group.
