This article explains Access Control terms.
Term | Definition |
Access Group | Allows you to specify access schedules for specific doors. When you add an access group, you select a schedule and the doors and members included in the access group. The members in the access group can use their physical credentials or the Member Portal to unlock the doors in the access group according to the schedule you select. |
Activity Log | Used to review all door activity at your property. The log displays when doors lock/unlock, how they were locked/unlocked, and information about the members who accessed the doors and whether they were permitted access. |
Automatic Provisioning | Whether a door automatically allows members to unlock it for bookings. |
Auto Unlock | Whether a door automatically unlocks based on the assigned access control schedule. |
Buffer Time | The amount of time a door can be unlocked before or after a booking, if a door automatically allows members to unlock it for bookings. |
Credential | A key card or fob that allows members to unlock doors they have access to. Members can also use the Member Portal to unlock doors. |
Door | You can add doors in Kube to set up access control. When you add a door, you can decide whether you want members to unlock the door for bookings. If allowed, members can unlock the door using their physical credentials or the Member Portal when they have a booking in the space the door is mapped to. |
Global Access Group | Allows you to specify access groups that span multiple properties so a member can access all those doors using a single credential. When you add a global access group, you select the access groups included in that group. Members use their Member Portal to unlock the doors in the global access group according to the schedules you select. |
Schedule | Schedules control when members can unlock doors at your property and when doors automatically unlock. You can assign access control schedules to access groups and individual doors. |
