You can add doors in Kube to set up access control. When you add a door, you can decide whether you want the door to automatically allow members to unlock it for bookings. If allowed, members can unlock the door using their physical credentials or the Member Portal app when they have a booking in the space the door is mapped to.
This article is part of the Kube access control setup flow. For more information, see Kube setup checklist.
NOTE: If you need to add a door, contact Yardi technical support to complete the door setup process.
To add a door
Select Properties in the top menu.
Locate your property in the data grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.
Select Setup in the side menu and select the Access Control tab. The Settings screen appears.
Select the Door Setup onscreen tab.
Click the Add button.
Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see New Door Screen Reference at the end of this article.
Click Save.
TIP: The next step in the Kube access control setup process is to map doors to the spaces they belong to. For more information, see Mapping a door to a space.
New Door Screen Reference
Name | Enter the name of the door. |
Lock ID | Work with Yardi technical support to add the lock ID. |
Door Type | If you are using Brivo as your access control provider, select the corresponding door type that you have created with Brivo. This menu option is only available if Brivo is the configured door access control provider. |
Exclude from Automatic Provision | By default, Kube allows members included in a booking to unlock the door using their credentials when they book the space the door is mapped to. Enable this option if you do not want Kube to allow members to unlock the door for bookings.
NOTE: You can also specify the amount of time before and after the booking that a property's doors can be unlocked. For more information, see Setting a property's door availability buffer time for bookings. |
Allow for Multiple Spaces | Enable this option if a door needs to be associated to more than one space. |
Dependent Doors | Select doors that can be unlocked in addition to the door assigned to the space the member has access to. For example, an entrance door may be included. |
