Kube allows you to easily manage the physical phones assigned to your members. Members can have one primary phone and multiple secondary phones. You can add a new device or select an existing device to assign. This article discusses adding a new device.
NOTES:
If your organization has not purchased Yardi Kube Voice, Kube does not show voice information.
Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.
If a member does not have a physical voice profile, you cannot assign a device to them and Kube hides the Devices tab.
To delete an existing physical phone, click the Edit button and set the phone's Device Identity selection to None. When you click Save, Kube deletes the phone.
To assign a physical phone to a member
Select Customers in the top menu and select Members from the drop-down menu.
Locate the member in the grid and click the member's name. The Member Essentials window appears. Click Detailed View.
Select Voice in the side menu and select the Devices tab.
To assign a primary physical phone, click the Add Primary button.
Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the Primary Device Fields Screen Reference at the end of this article.
Click Save.
To assign a secondary physical phone, click the Add Secondary button.
Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the Secondary Device Fields Screen Reference at the end of this article.
Click Save.
Primary Device Fields Screen Reference
Device Identity | Select Identity/Device Profile to add a new device. |
Identity/Device Profile Name | Select New Identity/Device Profile to add a new device, or search for a device profile from the drop down.
TIP: If you select an existing profile, Kube automatically populates the following fields. |
MAC Address | MAC address of the physical phone. |
Identity/Device Profile Type | Select the phone type from the list of supported physical phone types. |
Host Name/IP Address | If additional security is required for the phone, enter the host name or IP address required for public connections. |
Line/Port | This field populates and increments automatically. If this field does not auto populate or generates an error contact Yardi Technical support. |
Secondary Device Fields Screen Reference
Device Identity | Select Identity/Device Profile to add a new device. |
Identity/Device Profile Name | Select New Identity/Device Profile to add a new device, or search for a device profile from the drop down.
