When you amend a contract, Kube performs different tasks based on the date you choose to make the amendment active and where that date falls within your organization's billing cycle. For more information, see Scheduled tasks billing cycle overview.
When you choose an amendment date, you can choose a date in the past that is the original Contract Start Date and within the last 30 days. You can also choose the current date or a date in the future.
This article explains contract amendment scenarios and the tasks that Kube completes in each scenario.
NOTE: For the scenarios below, Kube posts monthly charges on the 25th of each month and generates invoices on the 1st of each month.
Each column describes the following information:
Original Contract Start Date: Date the contract was originally activated
Action Date: Date you complete your changes in Kube
Amendment Date: Date you set the amendment to be activated
Kube Actions: Actions Kube completes for charges, amenities, amenity configurations, and spaces

Amending in the future
NOTES:
In the case of adding inventory based amenities, phone numbers and public IP addresses, when configuring these amenities they will be immediately configured and activated regardless of the future amendments activation date. Service based amenities such as voice profiles and WiFi will not activate until the activation date of the future amendment.
In the case of removing inventory based amenities, when configuring these amenities they will be immediately terminated and removed from the company regardless of the future amendment activation date. If the phone number or public IP address is to remain active until the future amendment date, these amenities should not be terminated until that date.
