Configuring member voicemail options

You can configure voicemail options for members to control how Kube processes incoming calls and voicemails.

NOTES:

  • If your organization has not purchased Yardi Kube Voice, Kube does not show voice information.

  • Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

To configure member voicemail options

  1. Select Customers in the top menu and select Members from the drop-down menu.

  2. Locate the member in the grid and click the member's name. The Member Essentials window appears. Click Detailed View.

  3. Select Voice in the side menu.

  4. Click the Edit button.

  5. Select On next to the Voice Messaging field. Additional configuration options appear.

  6. Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the Voice Messaging Fields Screen Reference at the end of this article.

  7. Click Save.

Send All Calls to Voicemail

Send all calls the member receives to voicemail. The member's phone will not ring when receiving calls.

Send Busy Calls to Voicemail

Sends calls to voicemail when calls come in while the member is already on a call or incoming call configurations are set that make the member unavailable to answer calls. For more information, see Setting basic member incoming call configurations.

NOTE: By default, this setting is enabled.

Send Unanswered Calls to Voicemail

Sends calls the member does not answer to voicemail.

NOTE: By default, this setting is enabled.

When a Message Arrives

Where voicemails are stored/sent when received:

  • Use Unified Messaging Advanced Settings: Kube stores the voicemail locally on the member's phone.

    • Use Phone Message Waiting Indicator: A reminder light flashes on the member's phone when they have new voicemail messages. By default, this option is enabled.

  • Forward to This Email Address: Kube sends a recording of the voicemail to the email address in the next field and does not store a local copy of the voicemail message on the member's phone.

Additionally

Additional voicemail configuration options:

  • Notify Me by Email of the New Message at This Address: Sends a reminder email to the email address entered in the following field to alert the member that they have a new voicemail.

  • Email a Carbon Copy of the Message to: Sends a .wav recording of the voicemail to the email address entered in the next field.

  • Transfer on '0' to Phone Number: Allows the caller to press '0' on their phone to transfer to the phone number entered in the following field.

    ​NOTE You can enter an extension within the organization or an outside number. Do not include spaces or punctuation.

Voicemail Greeting in Use

Select the audio file that plays for callers who reach the member's voicemail.

NOTE: You must first add an announcement audio file before you can select it in the drop-down menu. For more information, see Adding a member voicemail announcement.
