You can add up to 20 custom fields to contracts to store additional information about a company and its contract that is relevant to your organization. When you use custom contract fields, you specify the field name and data type in the System Settings. Kube then displays these custom fields in the contract window's Custom Fields menu. NOTE: Kube only displays fields that you have customized. For example, if you customize two custom fields, Kube only displays two fields in the Custom Fields menu.
CAUTION: Once a custom field data type is selected and the field has been used, this selection cannot be changed. If you would like to update a data type, please reach out to Yardi technical support.
To customize a contract field
Select your Personal Profile in the top menu and select System Settings from the drop-down menu. The Operator Profile screen appears.
Select Custom Fields in the side menu and select the Contracts and Custom Fields tabs.
Click the Edit button.
Enter your custom field names into the fields you want to customize and select a data type. See the end of this article for a screen reference and more details on each data type.
Click Save.

Custom Contract Fields Screen Reference
Custom Field | Displays the order custom fields appear in the Custom Fields menu of the contract. This cannot be changed. |
Label Text | The text entered in this field appears as the label for the custom field in the Custom Fields menu of the contract. |
Data Type | Select the type of data a user is allowed to input when customizing the custom fields in a contract. The following data types are available:

Decimal Places | This option only becomes active if the Number data type is selected. This field allows you to enter a numeric value for how many decimal places the number field supports. If only whole numbers should be entered, enter 0 into this field. |
Mandatory | Select whether the custom field is required before the Custom Fields can be saved. Kube indicates if the field is required with a red asterisk (*). |
Query | This column only appears if a custom list query has been created. For assistance creating a list using a query, please reach out to Yardi technical support. |
List Values | This field becomes active when the List data type is selected. This field must be filled out in the following format:
