Exporting call accounting data from the legacy system to Kube

Updated over 3 months ago

You can export your call accounting data from the legacy portal and import it into Kube. This article explains how to manually export data from the legacy portal. For more information about setting up automatic call accounting exports, see Setting up automatic call accounting exports in the legacy system.

NOTE: Before you can export data, you must configure your voice amenities in the legacy system. For more information, see Setting up legacy system call accounting exports.

When you export call accounting data, the legacy portal emails you a zipped file containing one .csv file with your call accounting report data and one .xlsx file with the same data formatted for importing into Kube. Do not make any changes to the Kube import file before you import it into Kube.

In the Kube import file for each company, the legacy system includes one line item that sums all local charges, one line item that sums all long distance calls, and one line item that sums all calls made to each international calling rate. The legacy system does not include $0 charges in the Kube import file.

NOTES:

  • You can choose to have the legacy portal generate one file per company for both the call accounting report and Kube import file. On the Export Call Accounting Data screen in the legacy portal, select the Export Member call accounting data as separate files option in the Settings section.

  • Kube comes with default voice usage amenities, so you do need to add any amenities into Kube before completing your import. Kube maps the imported call accounting data to the voice usage amenities you configured during call accounting setup during the import process. For more information, see Setting up legacy system call accounting exports.

To manually export call accounting data from the legacy portal to Kube

  1. Log in to your legacy portal at the following link: https://www.wunsystems.com/login/.

  2. Select Reports in the side menu and select Voice Reports in the secondary side menu.

  3. Select the Export Call Accounting Data tab.

  4. Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the Export Call Accounting Data Screen Reference at the end of this article.

NOTE: In the Settings section, you must enable either the Show Member Rate in Report or Show WUN's Rate in Report option to populate the Kube import file with data.

  5. Click the Export button. The Email Address window appears.

  6. Enter the email addresses you want the legacy system to email the reports to and click Send. The legacy portal emails the files once it finishes processing the data. This process may take some time.

    NOTES:

    • Before you can export data, you must configure your voice amenities in the legacy system. For more information, see Setting up legacy system call accounting exports.

    • Once you receive the Kube import file, you can import the data into Kube using the Amenity Charges import. You do not need to make any changes to the import file that you receive from the legacy portal. For more information, see Importing data into Kube.
