Bank account verification FAQs

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Why do I need to add and then verify my bank account?

Whether for one time or recurring payments, a bank account on file must be verified to make payments. This is an electronic funds transfer (EFT) network rule that is in place for your protection.

How do I verify my bank account?

After you have added your bank account, a small deposit will be made and appear within 1-3 business days in the account, depending on the financial institution. To verify the account, return to the Member Portal, click My Account > Account Settings, locate the bank account, and enter the amount that was deposited into the bank account. For more information, see Adding a payment method in the Member Portal.

How do I locate the small deposit amount that was deposited into my bank account?

Either from an online portal or a bank account statement, look for a small deposit amount with "ACCTverify" in its description.

What do I do if I cannot locate the small deposit amount that was deposited into my account?

If the deposit does not appear in your account within three business days, it is likely the bank account information entered was incorrect. Either try again or contact support for assistance.

What do I do if I cannot successfully verify my bank account?

If the bank account verification process fails, it is likely that you have exceeded the number of attempts by entering the wrong deposit amount. Contact support for further assistance.
