Adding company domain authentication

Updated over 4 months ago

Kube offers the option for a company to authenticate with the Wi-Fi using the company's domain name. A company must have Wi-Fi services for this option. For more information about adding a contract, see Creating a contract.

When a domain is added to the Company Domain Authentication, the company can allow its members to use available unconfigured company Wi-Fi amenities when signing in to the Wi-Fi network with an email address that shares the same domain. This article describes adding a domain and the available options.

Adding a Company Domain for Authentication

  1. Select Customers in the top menu and select Companies from the drop-down menu.

  2. Locate the company in the grid and click the company's name. The Company Overview screen appears.

  3. Select Data/Wi-Fi in the side menu and select the Domain Authentication tab. The Company Domain Authentication menu appears.

  4. Click the edit button. Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the end of the article for Company Domain Authentication Screen Reference.

  5. Click Save.

TIP: To view all the domains that have been added for each company, select Properties > choose a property > Data/Wi-Fi > Domain Authentication.

Domain Name

Enter a fully qualified domain name into this field. Public domains cannot be used (i.e., Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).

Use Available Wi-Fi Amenities

Enable this option if members with email addresses matching the domain name should be automatically assigned an available member Wi-Fi amenity. Leave this option empty if the member Wi-Fi amenity should be manually configured before a member is signed in to the company Wi-Fi network.

NOTE: If there are no available W-Fi amenities, the user is signed into the guest network.
