Once an ACH payment settles in Kube and has a status of Deposited, you can process an NSF ACH payment if your bank reverses the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) due to non-sufficient funds (NSF). For more information, see Adding a bank deposit.
When you mark an ACH payment NSF, Kube labels the original payment as Non-Sufficient Funds on the Payments screen and adds a new negative payment to offset the amount of the original payment. Kube labels the new payment Non-Sufficient Funds.
Kube also labels payment Non-Sufficient Funds on the deposit's Deposit Information screen. Kube does not adjust the total amount of the deposit. Instead, Kube also adds an adjustment line to the Bank Register Report that offsets the NSF ACH payment. For more information, see Bank Register Report overview.
NOTES:
Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.
When you mark a payment NSF, Kube turns off automatic payments for all invoices paid by that payment. For more information, see Turning off automatic payments for an invoice.
When you NSF an ACH payment, you can choose to charge the company a fee. When Kube completes the NSF process, it automatically invoices the charge and sends the invoice to the company's primary billing contact for payment.
