Creating staggered amendments

Updated over 3 months ago

Once you activate a contract amendment, you can create sequential or staggered amendments. Staggered amendments allow you to have multiple amendments for a single contract that can span a short or long period of time. For more information about all the amendment types, see Amending an active contract.

NOTES:

  • Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

  • You must already have an active amendment to create a staggered amendment. For more information about creating a contract amendment, see Amending an active contract.

To create a staggered amendment

  1. Select Customers in the top menu and select Contracts from the drop-down menu.

  2. Locate the amendment in the grid. Click the amendment's name.

NOTE: If you need to create an amendment, see Amending an active contract.

  3. Click the Create New Future Amendment button. The Terms & Company screen appears.

NOTE: The Amendment Date is automatically set to one day after the last amendment in the sequence.

  4. Make changes to the contract as desired. For more information, see Adding products and services to a contract.

  5. Select Communicate in the side menu. Complete any approvals as required and communicate the contract.

  6. Select Activate in the side menu. Complete any approvals as required.

    1. From the Activate screen, review the Amendment Summary.

    2. Select charges to immediately invoice from the Charges Generated on Activation section. Leave this section empty if Kube should only generate open charges.

TIP: You can also select the Creation Date, Due Date, and the Invoice Template for the charges selected. Additionally, depending on your organization's settings, some charges may be automatically invoiced.

  7. Click the Activate Amendment button.

  8. A confirmation prompt appears. Click OK.

CAUTION: If you need to edit one of the staggered amendments, you must first discard the amendments that come after the one you intend to edit.

TIP: From the contract listing screen, click View Amendments to open the contract's history menu and to see a list of all the current amendments.
