Coupons reduce the cart price for bookings and amenities or packages purchased by prospects or members. You can customize coupon settings to limit the properties a coupon can be used at, the amenities and packages the coupon applies to, the spaces the coupon applies to, who can use a coupon, how many times, and how long a coupon is active. Users can only apply one coupon per transaction.

TIP: When adding a coupon, you can copy data from an existing active or archived coupon. Locate the coupon you want to copy and click the Additional Options button. Select Copy from the drop-down menu. The New Coupon screen appears with the fields populated according to selections made in the original coupon. If the original coupon's end date is in the past, you must enter a new end date.

Adding a coupon

Select your Personal Profile in the top menu and select System Settings from the drop-down menu. The Operator Profile screen appears.
Select Coupons & Promotions in the side menu. The Coupons menu appears.
Click the Add button.
Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the New Coupon Fields Screen Reference at the end of this article.
NOTE: The image only displays the Amenities and Packages selection, but Bookings is covered as well in the screen reference.
Click Save.

CAUTION: Once you save a coupon, you cannot edit it.

New Coupon Fields Screen Reference

Coupon Name	Name of the coupon for internal use. NOTE: This field cannot be the same as any active coupon's name.
Coupon Code	Code that users enter in a short-term booking's Coupon field to apply the coupon. NOTE: This field cannot be the same as any active coupon's code.
Charge Code	When Kube creates charges for discounted items, it adds one positive charge for the full cost of the item and one negative charge for the discount amount. Select the charge code Kube uses for the negative discount charge. For more information, see Coupons.
Property	Properties or property list the coupon can be used at.
Coupon For	Choose if the coupon is valid for Bookings or Amenities and Packages. The fields below change based on this selection.
Valid For	Amenities and Packages: Amenity Type: Select this option if the coupon should only be valid for certain amenity types. Select from Standard, Packages, Booking Units, Coworking Pass, Data/Wi-Fi, Voice, or Access Control. If the amenity type has a subtype, this field appears below. Amenity: Select this option if the coupon should only be valid for certain amenities. Either type the name of the amenity in the field or select it from the list by clicking the Additional Options button. Note: Only amenities from the property or properties from the property list appear here. Bookings: Space Types: Select this option if the coupon should only be valid for certain space types. For more information about adding space types, see Adding a space type. Individual Spaces: Select this option if the coupong should only be valid for certain spaces. Either type the name of the spacer in the field or select it from the list by clicking the Additional Options button. Note: Only spaces from the property or properties from the property list appear here.
Discount Value	Enter the percentage amount that should be deducted from the purchase price of the booking or amenity. NOTE: Percentages must be greater than zero and less than 100 (you can include up to two decimal places). Kube does not apply discounts to setup or security deposit fees.
Apply to NOTE: These options are only applicable to Amenities and Packages.	Entire Cart: Select this option if the discount should apply to the entire cart's total for applicable amenities. The discount is not applied to setup fees or security deposits. Example: A six-month package is added to the cart with the following criteria (all assumptions are that the transaction is on the 1st of the month, no proration has occurred, and the package is billed up front): Retail Price = 10.00/Month Setup Fee = 5.00/One-Time Security Deposit = 15.00/One-Time Cart Total = 80.00 Coupon Discount = 5% (Applied to the 60.00 total of the six-month package for a 3.00 total discount) New Cart Total = 77.00 Retail Only: Select this radio button if the discount should only apply to the first month's retail price for applicable amenities in the cart. The discount is not applied to setup fees or security deposits. Example: A six-month package is added to the cart with the following criteria (all assumptions are that the transaction is on the 1st of the month, no proration has occurred, and the package is billed up front): Retail Price = 10.00/Month Setup Fee = 5.00/One-Time Security Deposit = 15.00/One-Time Cart Total = 80.00 Coupon Discount = 5% (Applied to the retail price of 10.00 for a .50 total discount) New Cart Total = 79.50
Start/End Dates	Date range when the coupon is active. NOTE: Kube archives the coupon after the End Date passes.
Number of Uses	How many times the coupon can be used by a single user. Leave this field empty for unlimited uses. NOTE: You select which user types can use the coupon in the Coupon Usable by field.
Coupon Usable by	Who can use the coupon.
