Adding a contact

Contacts are those whose contact information you wish to enter into Kube but who do not fall into the member or lead categories, such as contractors. Contacts are for reference purposes only, and they cannot be the primary contact for contracts and they cannot make purchases or bookings.

Kube compiles all contacts, leads, and members on the Contacts screen.

To add a contact

  1. Select Contacts in the top menu.

  2. Click the Add Contact button. The New Contact window appears.

  3. Complete the fields. For field descriptions, see the New Contact Screen Reference at the end of this article.

  4. Click Next. The New Company window appears.

  5. Either create a new company or select an existing company by selecting the Existing Company radio button. For field descriptions, see Adding a company.

  6. Click Save.

New Contact Screen Reference

Assigned Internal User

Internal user who is responsible for managing the contact.

Occupation

Contact's position in their company for internal reference.

Culture

Contact's culture setting.

NOTE: Culture settings are regional settings that control the formatting of dates, times, and addresses in the Member Portal, should they convert to a member. The contact's culture setting also determines date formatting in emails they receive.

Contact Type

Contact's user and company type.

NOTE: The user and company type describe the services and spaces your customers purchase from you. For more information, see Adding a user and company type.

Primary Property

Contact's primary property that they visit most often or are associated with.

Opt-out of marketing

Select whether the contact would like to receive promotional emails from your organization.

Date of Birth

Contact's date of birth.

Additional Companies

Select additional companies the contact belongs to. This section only appears if the Additional Companies service has been subscribed to.

Mailing Address

Enter the contact's mailing address. Kube uses Google autocomplete to verify the address. Select the address from the options that appear below the address field as you type.

NOTE: You can select the Do not use Google autocomplete option to manually enter an address. Kube displays additional address fields.

Other Address

Enter an additional address for reference purposes. Kube uses Google autocomplete to verify the address. Select the address from the options that appear below the address field as you type.

Custom Fields

In the System Settings section, you can customize the fields that appear in this section to store data specific to your organization. For more information, see Customizing user fields.
