Configuring property reception answering settings

Updated over 3 months ago

The reception console allows your internal users to manage calls at your properties. You can turn on the reception console and manage reception console settings in Kube to control the options reception console users have when answering and transferring calls. For more information, see Launching the voice reception console.

Property reception consoles inherit system reception console settings. Once you edit property reception console settings, the property’s reception console does not inherit system console settings. For more information, see Configuring system reception answering settings.

This article is part of the Kube voice flow. For more information, see Kube setup checklist.

NOTES:

  • If your organization has not purchased Yardi Kube Voice, Kube does not show voice information.

  • Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

  • Once you turn the reception console on, it cannot be turned off. Contact Yardi technical support before changing reception console settings, as they are configured during installation.

To configure system reception answering settings

  1. Select Properties in the top menu.

  2. Locate your property in the grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.

  • Prefix + Member Extension: Kube dials the voicemail prefix and then the member's extension to connect the caller to the member's voicemail.

Transfer Types

Options Kube gives the person operating the reception console when completing a transfer:

  • Both: Kube gives the reception console user the option of completing a Blind or Supervised transfer.

  • Blind: Kube completes the transfer without the reception console user staying on the call.

  • Supervised: Kube completes the transfer and the reception console user stays on the call to complete a warm handoff of the caller to the member receiving the call.
