When servers assign IP addresses to devices, they follow DHCP protocols and generally assign the next free IP address in the list of available IP addresses. You can use DHCP reservations to tell the server to assign a specific IP address to a device when it connects to the server. This allows you to specify the IP addresses assigned to devices such as servers, printers, and network storage to make them easier to find on a special VLAN network.
To add a special VLAN DHCP reservation
Select Properties in the top menu.
Locate the property in the grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.
Select Setup in the side menu and select the Data/Wi-Fi tab. The General screen appears.
Select the Special VLANs tab.
Locate the special VLAN in the grid and click the row. The General screen appears.
Select the Network Settings tab.
In the DHCP Reserved Devices section, click the Add button.
Complete the fields.
