A GL account is an account that contains all transactions for charge codes that are linked to it. Kube GL accounts are four digits long by default, and you can customize the account length if desired. If you are unsure how long you want your GL accounts to be, contact your accountant. Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.
GL accounts cannot have fewer than 4 digits. If you add digits, Kube adds zeros to the end of existing GL accounts to match the new GL account length.
To set GL account length
Select your Personal Profile in the top menu and select System Settings from the drop-down menu. The Operator Profile screen appears.
Select Accounting in the side menu and select the Account Settings tab.
Click the Edit button.
In the GL Account Format field in the Settings section, enter one question mark for each digit you want in your GL account.
TIP: If you want your GL accounts to be 6 digits long, enter six question marks: ??????
Click Save.
