Adding tax to an amenity

Updated over 4 months ago

When you use Domestic tax, you can include tax in your amenity costs. When you include the amenity in a contract, when you create a manual amenity charge, or when a member or prospect purchases the amenity, Kube automatically includes tax. This article discusses applying domestic tax codes to amenities. For more information about International Tax, see Adding an international tax rate.

NOTES:

  • Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

  • To include tax in the amenity cost, you have to add tax codes to the property first. For more information, see Adding a domestic tax code to a property.

To add tax to an amenity

  1. Select Properties in the top menu.

  2. Locate the property in the grid and click the property's name. The Property Spaces screen appears.

  3. Select Setup in the side menu and select the Amenities tab.

  4. Locate the amenity in the grid and click the amenity's name.

TIP: If you have not added the amenity yet, see Adding a standard amenity.

  5. Click the Edit button.

  6. Next to the Apply Tax field, select Yes. The Tax Selector field appears.

  7. Select the tax code from the drop-down menu.

TIP: You can add up to five tax codes to the amenity by clicking the Add button

and selecting additional tax codes. You can delete a tax by clicking the Delete button next to the tax code you want to delete.

  8. Click Save.
