About multicurrency

Updated over 3 months ago

Multicurrency is an optional service that allows you to select the base currency a property operates with. When creating a property, Kube displays the available currencies based on the legal entities configured in Voyager. For more information on setting up legal entities in Voyager, reach out to your Voyager representative or see "Adding a Legal Entity Record" in the Yardi Voyager International User's Guide.

NOTE: Kube does not support the interoperability of different currencies between properties. This article covers the various areas where this applies.

Bank Accounts

Each property must be assigned a bank account that matches its base currency. A bank account with a different base currency from the property cannot be assigned to the property. For more information about adding a bank account, see Adding a property bank account.

Payments

All payments are made using the property's currency. If the property's currency differs from the currency of the member's payment method, the issuing bank must handle any final currency conversions.

In the case of automatic payments, the payment method on file must support the currency the invoice was issued in. Otherwise, the payment may fail.

Dashboards

The dashboards that display financial data can only display data for properties that share the same base currency. When filtering for properties on these dashboards, a validation prompt appears if you have selected properties that do not share the same base currency. For more information about using dashboards, see Dashboards.

Reports

Reports containing financial information can only be filtered by properties that share a common base currency. A validation prompt appears if properties with different base currencies are selected. For more information about reports, see Reports.
